What happens after you finish a coaching school?

A big amount of coaches that come in mentoring are talking about what happens after finishing the coaching programme. How do they gain the first clients.

In Business Coaching Diploma participants are lucky cause the first clients are from PwC employees and they have a good starting point with real clients, and still when it is about finding first clients it can be difficult. The beliefs, the patterns, the sabotaging - there are all present when it means to put yourself out there and talk about what are you doing and that you are looking for clients.

So based on my experience with coaches that are just starting their practice I will create a series of articles dedicated to the topics I have been mentoring in the past years. All filed under the reflective invitation- when helping becomes taking over - as a connection between the beginner fear of driving the conversation, the thin line between coaching, mentoring and consultancy, learning to enjoy the silence, and building boundaries and trust in the coaching space.

A coaching session can be something magic - having a deep reflective conversation with someone that is trained to listen beyond words, to mirror and be extra curious and yet at the end of the day the coach is also a human and has their own processes. So if you are a new coach you might find the following articles of interest:

How to feel confident as a new coach - when impostor syndrome shows up in your coaching practice

Moving from giving advice into coaching - mentoring or coaching or friendly conversation

Working with silence, emotion and uncertainty - how to hold space when the client is going silent and the emotions are raw in the air

Learning from sessions and finding support - coaching supervision for new coaches and how to reflect after a coaching session.

Anything else that you feel might be useful for your journey as a coach? Let me know in the comments!
