Mentor Coach 〰️

With 2,000+ hours of coaching practice and 900+ hours mentoring coaches, I bring to our work the perspective of an experienced coach, coaching educator and assessor, alongside extensive experience coaching executives and senior leaders.

My approach to mentoring goes beyond preparing for accreditation. I support coaches in developing the competence, confidence and professional maturity to build a practice that feels both credible and authentically their own.

Are you a new or developing coach?

We can work together to:

  • Strengthen your coaching practice by exploring how you demonstrate coaching competencies in real client conversations.

  • Develop a robust reflective practice, learning to recognise patterns, work with uncertainty and build confidence in your own capability rather than being led by Imposter Syndrome.

  • Prepare for professional accreditation with EMCC (Foundation / Practitioner) or ICF (ACC / PCC), with a clear understanding of what the competencies look and sound like in practice.

  • Build your coaching practice commercially, including how you position your work, approach prospective clients and move towards paid engagements.

  • Develop your professional identity and personal brand so that how you communicate your work reflects the coach you are becoming — rather than simply sounding like every other coach in the market.

Mentoring is not about becoming the kind of coach I think you should be. It is about developing the awareness, competence and confidence to become the coach you want to be — while meeting the professional standards expected of our profession.

If you are ready to take your coaching practice seriously, deepen your craft and build greater confidence in how you work with clients, I would be glad to explore whether I am the right mentor for the next stage of your development.

”After the first 20+ hours of coaching, there came a plateau for me where I was not sure what value I was adding, because I was feeling stuck with certain clients. Being mentored by Ana gave me valuable input on how to deal with the clients, but also on how to deal with myself when feeling that way. Ana has a way of cutting through the noise and pinpointing the actual issue to accelerate my growth.

Her clear feedback helped me focus on my biggest development area. When we talked about how I'd been treating coaching purely as a learning experience, enjoying the practice itself rather than deliberately logging my hours or building the business around it, Ana helped me see why it matters to build a system for tracking and reflection now. Capturing those learnings as they happen means any future move toward accreditation rests on real, documented evidence. It also deepened my reflection practice in the present.

There are several skills I developed with Ana’s help:

  • Structural and organisational skills. You helped me create a framework that made my organisational and administrative practice more efficient and streamlined.

  • Personal awareness. Your guidance and reflective process helped me gain clarity quickly, which accelerated my growth both as a person and as a businesswoman.

  • Clarity around building a brand. One moment stands out: when you spoke to me about visibility, that you can be the greatest coach in the world, but if nobody knows you're there, it doesn't matter. That call-out made me realise coaching alone wouldn't be enough; I'd need to start building a brand.”

”The mentoring process helped me build confidence in myself as a coach and trust my own way of working. It encouraged me to focus first on being fully present with the client, rather than trying to apply techniques perfectly.
At the same time, it gave me the space to define my own coaching style, one that feels authentic and aligned with who I am, rather than trying to fit into a predefined model.

Ana held the space with patience, kindness, and genuine support throughout the process. She constantly reminded me that becoming a coach is a journey and that growth happens step by step. I particularly appreciated how she shared openly from her own experience, which made the process feel human and relatable. She helped me understand that coaching is much more than methodically applying tools and frameworks, it is about presence, connection, curiosity and trust in the process.

The most important thing I gained from this mentoring experience is greater self-confidence in developing my own coaching style. I now feel more comfortable using the tools and frameworks that genuinely suit my personality and the stage of development I am in as a coach. The mentoring also brought me clarity around the fact that there is no single “right” way to coach.”

”What has helped me most throughout this mentoring process has been Ana’s openness and flexibility in offering guidance that is grounded in real-life situations. As someone preparing for an internal coaching role, being able to bring current, real-world challenges into our conversations has been invaluable. Ana’s willingness to adapt our sessions to what was most relevant at the time created a strong sense of psychological safety, and allowed me to engage deeply and practically. Rather than staying at a theoretical level, Ana encouraged me to explore and apply tools like the client diary and mural templates in a very hands-on way. This helped me see the direct link between structured tools and the intuitive process of coaching.

In addition, the way Ana calibrated with me as her mentee mirrored how she’ve taught me to calibrate with coaching clients. Her attentiveness and ability to pivot based on where I was, emotionally and intellectually, was a real model for how to build relational presence. I felt seen and heard, and that kind of modeling helped me step into that space more confidently with my own clients. It made it easier for me to be present, attuned, and curious with others, and has enhanced my capacity to offer relevant and impactful support.

Emotionally, this mentoring process has felt like a safe and supportive space where I could show up as my whole self - both uncertain and confident. Ana’s presence allowed me to access parts of myself that I hadn’t fully explored before, particularly the doubts and inner narratives that can surface when stepping into a new professional identity. The space Ana held gave me permission to explore not just what I was doing, but how I was feeling about it - moments of excitement, vulnerability, self-doubt, and pride. This emotional openness has reinforced the importance of allowing emotional processing as part of a client’s growth journey. I’ve begun to see that self-awareness and emotional depth are assets in this work, and your mentoring helped bring that awareness.”

”🌟Certifications mark milestones, but mentors make the journey meaningful 🌟

When I embarked on the journey towards earning my ICF ACC certification, my focus was clear: learning, growing and achieving this significant milestone. The process was intense yet deeply fulfilling. But once I crossed that finish line, a wave of uncertainty crept in.

“What now?” I wondered. How do I navigate the vast and ever-evolving coaching industry?

It was during this phase of questioning that I found an incredible mentor in Ana M. Marin, DTM, EMCC SP, ICF PCC. Her wisdom, guidance, presence and unwavering support helped me see that the journey didn’t end with a certification rather it was just the beginning. Ana encouraged me to take thoughtful steps, explore new opportunities, align my work with my passion for coaching and integrate my core values into the practice. The powerful questions sparked deep reflections that lingered in my mind long after the sessions ended.

Thanks to her, I’m learning to embrace the uncertainty, celebrate progress and approach this path with curiosity and joy.

The road ahead is long and there’s so much to learn and accomplish. But I’m determined to enjoy every step of this journey; because isn’t that what life is all about?

To my fellow coaches and professionals: What’s a lesson or insight that has helped you navigate the “What now?” moments in your career? Let’s keep inspiring each other!”

Working with Ana as my business mentor has been nothing short of transformative. Working with her, my goals have become clearer, and I've moved from planning into powerful action. With her steady support, I’ve let go of what wasn’t serving me, found deeper confidence in my own abilities, and started operating from a place of belief rather than lack. What I appreciate most is how Ana always seemed to understand not just what I wanted, but also what I truly needed. I’m deeply grateful for the space she held and the clarity she helped me uncover.

What drew me to Ana in the first place was how generously and clearly she showed up in the community we’re both part of. She offered her thoughts, answered questions, and shared reflections in a way that felt thoughtful, grounded, and aligned with my values. When I was looking for a mentor, I knew I wanted to work with someone like that, someone who was both organised and open-hearted.

When we began working together, what stood out was her ability to really listen. She helped me identify the root of what was holding me back and offered gentle but powerful ways to move forward. Ana’s way of mentoring is part strategy, part coaching, and part soul, and that blend made all the difference for me.

If you’re looking for a mentor who will hold space for you, challenge you, and truly see you: Ana is someone you want to work with.”

”Ana is one of the kindest and most empathetic people I know. I learned so much from her even before we spoke directly, simply through observing her interactions, insights, and the thoughtful way she responded to queries and offered guidance during discussions.

Ana has mentored me on numerous occasions, covering a variety of topics. She has always been patient with my questions, whether posed through text messages, voice notes, or video calls. Her deep insights into coaching and branding, coupled with her genuine presence during our conversations, have been immensely helpful to me.

I wholeheartedly recommend Ana to anyone seeking coaching or mentorship.”
