Daily reflexion exercises
A few weeks ago we had a deadline for the submission of this article on coaching. And because I did a bit of research on the topic to come up with some useful information for the readers of that blog I remembered this draft article.
I started writing to it when I was working on a bullet journal for a friend and at the same time a coaching client asked me to give her some questions she could answer in the evenings as a reflective practice to quiet her mind before bed, being a fan of writing.
And I thought you might want to start a journal or you might want to do a reflective exercise every now and then and you don't have a question to start with. So I've prepared some questions you can answer either as a daily journaling habit, or occasionally when you feel you need to dump your thoughts onto a sheet of paper to have something to guide you.
Gratitude:
What was your favorite thing about today?
What are 3 things you are grateful for (if anything) today?
What do you find most valuable about today?
Who do you enjoy spending time with and why?
What is your favorite place in your home and why?
What is the attractive moment of your day - the one that energizes you and that you look forward to?
Who makes you feel appreciated and loved?
What is the most appreciated gift you have ever received?
Awareness and objectives
What are your top 3 goals you want to achieve by the end of the year?
What goal did you work towards today?
If you didn't do things for yourself and your goals today - what can you do tomorrow to get one step closer to them?
What did you do today to stay true to your values and goals?
What changes do you need to make tomorrow to stay true to your goals?
What in your daily routine is not helping you to be at peace with yourself that you need to eliminate from tomorrow?
What is your perspective on happiness?
Write about a challenge you overcame. How did it make you feel and what resources did you draw on to overcome it?
Stress and anxiety
Can you identify a particular trigger that always makes you feel overwhelmed?
What are 5 activities you can do to relax?
Is there anything that is keeping you from achieving your dreams and goals?
What would your life look like without these obstacles?
What difficult thing did you try today and what did you learn from the experience?
What will you do tomorrow to challenge yourself to step outside your comfort zone?
Regardless of the reason you choose to write down your thoughts do it in a way that will serve your future - you might choose to answer some questions, to use a reflective formula, or just write down whatever you feel that you need to let go.
I would love to hear from you if you start this journey and let me know how is working out for you :)
