5 steps to keep your New Year’s Resolutions
Well, research shows that by the end of February you will let go of 80% of them. And since is almost that time of the year let’s see how can we still make them happen!
First of all - let’s split them in categories: Learning, Family, Business etc. It will make you feel that are different projects/ and you will find time for them, because are not bulk.
Planning - when you chose the goal, plan it! Add it to your agenda or calendar to see it all the time and keep in mind.
Be specific and realistic with them! If you want to lose 100 Kilo in 2 months is not something that can be achieve if you are living on Earth.
Divided them into short ones and give them measurability! If the big goal is to learn a foreign language, a small goal would be to learn 5 new words per day or 20 per week. That would be also measurable and you know if you stick to it or not.
Partner up! Find somebody who is more motivate by you to reach the goal and ask for a partnership. It will keep you motivated and active and you can have accountability :).
Rewards :) - from time to time check if you are close to reach your goal, did all the small one have been achieved? Then pay yourself with something that you crave.
But the most important thing you have to keep in mind all the time - is to stick to them! When you want to find an excuse remember why did you made that resolution and what is the purpose. Than get your behind in gear and work for it!
