Blogging for personal growth - a coach perspective
These days I had a conversation with a friend who ask me why after all these years I still write on the blog if I am not famous yet due to all my continuu writing.
Made me wonder and the answers that were there some years ago, are still there - writing on the blog made me a better professional, supported me to change my job, supported others in their journey and most of all it brings me clarity of learning. Due to this blog I have coaching clients and my network got exponentially bigger - and people from all over the world reach out when they find a good article to read on my blog that offers them the info they were searching for in a friendly approach.
Here are some other thoughts over blogging for personal development:
Self-Reflection through Content Creation
While I research and write about my discoveries - here stays the power of self-reflection that comes with consistently creating content for this blog.
While I write about my personal experiences, insights, and lessons learned this practice deepens my self-awareness and understanding.
While I use the blog as a tool for introspection, I can also share journaling prompts, tracking progress for processes, ideas of setting personal goals, while also offering others access to my knowledge, tools or methods.
Continuous Learning and Adaptation
Maintaining this blog means continuu learning and adaptation - search for ideas for articles, research, journaling my experiences through a different lense that of the reader of my blog.
Another reason to stay updated on industry trends contribute to personal and professional growth other than having continuu education as part of my values is to offer quality content on this blog.
Using my experience as a trainer, as a coach, as a mentor - I offer insights on how to embrace challenges, changes, overcome obstacles, and evolve.
Here are 2 more ideas:
From coaching client perspective - writing every day / week / month an article is a way of showing up for your goals and working on your dream in a organize way.
From a coach perspective - embracing blogging will add a tool for personal development in your bag. while you build on your professional brand.
For me a coach embracing blogging as a tool for personal development, not only offered me a space to share my expertise but also build milestones of my journey of self-discovery, community-building, and lifelong learning. Through self-reflection, knowledge sharing, and adaptation, I wish to make a meaningful impact on my readers' lives.
