Final days of 2023 and here is the last edition of the year for Coaching Journal.

I will use this opportunity to THANK YOU - dear and amazing reader! Because of you my year was wonderful. The feedback you sent with every edition encourages me to focus on searching and sending you quality information.

Together we celebrated the Self-Care Journal and as part of my community you were the first to receive it - your feedback turned it into a resource on my blog.

So thank you for reading me, listening and supporting my journey - you make it magic! :)

What do you need from 2024?

As the current year comes to an end, one of the rituals that brings me clearity is to reflect on my achievements and set goals for the upcoming year.
I found that Goal setting provides direction, motivation, and a sense of purpose. This keeps me on the track since I am a goal oriented person. Adding action on top and you will have drive.

Start by clarifying your aspirations, both personally and professionally. Break down large goals into smaller, actionable steps to make progress more manageable. Setting intentional and purposeful goals, with actions will give you a clear path to what you need to do in order to achieve those goals. Knowing that will motivate you to stay on track with focus on your efforts and energies to do what truly matters to you.

Mind the GAP

Some of the questions I receive on my planning is how do I get to do so many things in such a short time?
A cool and easy way is to implement a planning tool like the GAP Model - it serves you on a weekly/monthly or yearly process.

What am I reading

While I was in the mentoring programme of EMCC, someone mentioned TRIGGERS by Marshall Goldsmith and Mark Reiter. So during these days I am reading it together with the workbook (a journal) that was meant for the programme.

It is a great way to understand ”the why” behind not achieving goals. You can learn how structure can help people achieve their plans. It is also a great opportunity to develop on the 6 question process that can support you in reaching your goals.

What am I listening

Dr. Peter Attia is a Stanford/Johns Hopkins/NIH-trained physician focusing on the applied science of longevity, the extension of human life, and well-being.

His podcast ”The Drive” has some amazing topics and guests that speak about wellbeing and mental care.

These days his guest was Arthur Brooks Ph.D. a social scientist, professor at Harvard University, columnist for The Atlantic, and bestselling author.

What I love about Arthur Brooks is that he is using journaling with his students. He does that for an improved learning experience. I wrote about it in my December article here.
